  • Summary

    The May Center School for Autism and Developmental Disabilities in Randolph is looking for a Assistant Program Coordinator to be responsible for the administrative, operational, and clinical functions of a group home for children, ages 5-22, with autism, PDD, and other developmental disabilities.

     

    Some of our students reside in May Institute homes and are supported by staff during all non-school hours. Our Program Specialists and Program Coordinators work with children in their residence to facilitate development of play, social, and independent living skills using principles of applied behavior analysis (ABA).

     

    This position is a great stepping stone towards pursuing an advanced degree in behavior analysis, psychology, or special education and May Institute will work with you to help you achieve your goals. We provide tuition reimbursement and loan forgiveness to employees pursuing degrees. In addition, May Institute has relationships with local universities where you can earn a Master’s Degree in Behavior Analysis and Special Education while working with us.

     

    Responsibilities

    • Training and monitoring of residential staff interactions with students, implementation of behavior support plans, IEP’s, and completion of other appropriate paperwork
    • Oversee daily group home operations such as staffing, scheduling, adherence to weekly menu, and grocery shopping
    • Monitor staff schedules and complete bi-weekly payroll
    • Attend and participate in clinical meetings including IEP’s and Team Meetings
    • Ensure that QI/QA procedures are adhered to, including maintaining environmental safety as well as a functional and homelike environment
    • Develop house meeting agendas, and running of monthly staff meetings
    • Work directly in ration with students.
    • Manage finances

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred
    • Previous special education or human services experience strongly preferred
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Experience with Applied Behavior Analysis a plus
