  • Summary

    The May Center for ABA Services in Wilmington, MA provides “best practice” intensive behavioral intervention to children and adolescents with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and other special needs. Our center-based program is based on the principles of applied behavior analysis (ABA). These center-based services provide social skills groups and early childhood ABA therapy in our center to help children build critical skills and reduce problem behaviors. The Center offers full-day services, half-day services (either morning or early afternoon), and after-school services. 

     

    May Institute’s Home, School, and Center Based Services division is currently seeking a Program Director (BCBA) to guide the development and expansion of our center-based program in Wilmington, MA. This position coordinates and oversees behavior analytic services for children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder. Successful candidates will have had experience providing both clinical and operational oversight (e.g., leadership, supervision, management activities) for center- and/or home-based services.

     

    The Program Director is responsible for onboarding of new employees and monitoring implementation of programs. Services are offered to clients in both center- and home-based settings. Services target the core and associated deficits of autism and our practices are derived from contemporary research in applied behavior analysis (e.g., verbal behavior). This position is also responsible for developing, supervising and cultivating a growing team of Board Certified Behavior Analysts, and Behavior Therapists. In addition, the Program Director will manage the day to day practices of the program, provide clinical oversight and manage the operating budget, performance metrics, and staffing levels.

    Responsibilities

    • Ensure quality of care within the program by providing supervision to staff
    • Provide supervision to staff seeking BCBA/BCaBA supervision
    • Develop operating budgets based on historical performance and estimated future demand
    • Manage monthly productivity and finances for office
    • Manage waiting list and caseloads of staff
    • Coordinate the recruitment of staff, including interviewing and selecting staff
    • Maintain a limited caseload
    • Provide leadership in the coordination of services between the May Center for ABA Services and local service providers including public school systems and local early intervention programs
    • Participate in marketing, public relations, and fundraising activities as required
    • Provide program information to interested parties in the format of formal presentations to large and small groups.
    • Promptly respond to leadership, staff, and family communications

    Qualifications

    • Master’s degree in behavior analysis, psychology, or allied discipline
    • Board Certified Behavior Analyst for a minimum of one year
    • 1 – 2 years experience working with the design and implementation of treatment programs and some experience in supervision and training of staff
    • Experience with budgetary and programmatic decision-making
    • Strong leadership and organization skills
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
