Summary

May Institute’s Philanthropy department is accepting resumes for a Database Manager to be responsible for our fundraising database (Raisers Edge); to oversee gift entry and processing; donor acknowledgments; and accurately produce all necessary reports and lists.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the data entry and processing of all gifts and pledges.
  • Maintain and update constituent records in Raiser’s Edge.
  • Ensure database operations support development strategies from direct marketing to moves management, gift processing and donor relations.
  • Coordinate mailings, produce and segment mailing lists, manage annual constituent data, conduct prospect research and track performance.
  • Work with Finance department to reconcile gifts and ensure monies are deposited in a timely manner to the correct fund.
  • Work to improve and streamline systems.
  • Train and support fundraising staff on the use of Raiser’s Edge.
  • Provide professional, quality customer service to donors, members, volunteers, staff and other community contacts.
  • Support community and special events, and Development projects as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Significant experience using Raisers Edge, specifically batches, Quick Letters, and creating custom crystal reports, queries, and exports
  • Minimum of two years’ experience in fundraising and donor database management
  • Knowledge of annual giving, donor solicitation processes, and donor relations
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Experience with relational databases and accounting practices
  • Computer proficiency and knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Experience in special events a plus
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
