Summary

The May Center School for Brain Injury and Neurobehavioral Disorders in Brockton is currently seeking a Family Services Coordinator to be responsible for the overall coordination and communication with our families and students.

 

Responsibilities

  • Assist parents, guardians, and outside agencies in communicating and resolving any concerns or issues they have with the appropriate members of the team
  • Assist with guardianship, resources, benefits and student transitions
  • Assist with the planning of special events and family forums
  • Attend meetings with outside collateral agencies
  • Provide consultation and support via regular phone contact with assigned caseload of families
  • Facilitate individual and/or group training for the parents of children being served as appropriate
  • Assist with guardianship, benefits, and student admissions and transitions. 

Qualifications

  • Master's degree preferred; Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Special Education or related field required
  • Direct, relevant experience dealing with families of special education students
  • Strong interpersonal skills and confidence in handling a variety of tasks and situations
  • Experience with Applied Behavioral Analysis
  • Experience with Brain Injury preferred
