The May Center School for Brain Injury and Neurobehavioral Disorders in Brockton is currently seeking a Family Services Coordinator to be responsible for the overall coordination and communication with our families and students.
Assist parents, guardians, and outside agencies in communicating and resolving any concerns or issues they have with the appropriate members of the team
Assist with guardianship, resources, benefits and student transitions
Assist with the planning of special events and family forums
Attend meetings with outside collateral agencies
Provide consultation and support via regular phone contact with assigned caseload of families
Facilitate individual and/or group training for the parents of children being served as appropriate
Assist with guardianship, benefits, and student admissions and transitions.
Master's degree preferred; Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Special Education or related field required
Direct, relevant experience dealing with families of special education students
Strong interpersonal skills and confidence in handling a variety of tasks and situations
